Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 12, 2026

Ashore ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Ashore iOS application.

1. Zero Data Collection

Ashore is designed from the ground up with privacy as its core principle. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics tracking, and no external servers receiving your information.

2. Screen Time and Apple's Family Controls API

Ashore utilizes Apple's Screen Time APIs (specifically FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity) to shield the applications you select.

To protect your privacy, Apple provides Ashore with opaque, encrypted tokens rather than the actual names or bundle IDs of the apps you choose to block. We do not know which apps you are using, nor do we know how long you use them. All calculations regarding your "Mindful Minutes" and "Interceptions" are processed entirely on your local device.

3. Local Storage

Any settings or preferences you configure within Ashore (such as your chosen breathing phase duration or selected apps) are stored locally on your device using secure iOS App Groups. This data never leaves your iPhone.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If any changes are made, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Because we do not collect your contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

5. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the localized nature of the app's architecture, please contact us at hello@headashore.com.
